A great recipe to make up with yet another pack of beef mince. These are quick to make, and you can eat them in all sorts of ways once they’re cooked: burgers (as pictured), lunchbox fare with a dipping sauce or just a simple snack handy in the fridge. Budget friendly and very, very handy.
Ingredients
750g minced beef
2 tbsnpns tomato sauce
1 tbspn worcestor sauce (opt)
1 onion, grated
1 carrot, grated
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 tbspn dried mixed Italian herbs.
Method
Mix everything together, shape into patties. In a heavy bottomed pan, heat your choice of oil. When hot, add a pattie and press down with a spatchelor until you have your desired thickness. Cook about 3 at a time. Cooked when brown all the way through (though you may like it cooked differently).
Serve as above (if you like): a lightly toasted turkish roll with sauce, cheese, lettuce, red onion, sliced tomato and how about some sauerkraut?
