This is eat with your hands at a table laden with food and surrounded by family type of recipe!  Best yet?  It’s all done in the slow cooker, with no mess, no fuss!  We present, BBQ Pork Ribs, slow cook style!


1.5kg of pork ribs
½ cup water
1 onion
3 cloves garlic
½ cup tomato sauce
¼ cup brown sugar
¼ cup apple cider vinegar
¼ cup honey
¼ cup soy sauce


  1. Dice the onion. Separate the pork ribs so no more than 2-3 are connected.
    2. Place the zip lock bag in a large bowl and add all the ingredients. Squeeze out as much air as possible and seal.

To Cook:

Defrost overnight and place everything in the slow cooker and cook for 8-10 hours on LOW.
Serve with mashed potato, bread or rice.
